By Pete Townsend, Managing Director, Techstars Web3
We're continuing our Techstars Web3 Community Series and we're inviting everyone building in web3 to join our virtual events and engage with leaders from the global web3 community. We're crafting each session to provide the community with helpful insights from people on the front lines of web3 right now.
On 29th November, we started with Sean Lee, co-founder of the Odsy Network, and former CEO of the Algorand Foundation. Sean and I talked thorugh how to make web3 universally accessible, and we had some great interaction with the audience - you can catch the replay video and podcast here.
Next up, we've got Clarisse Hagege, Founder and CEO of Dfns, on 13th December at 4pm GMT. Dfns is a cybersecurity company providing wallet infrastructure for web3. From banks to gaming studios, developer teams rely on their decentralized custody network to build seamless applications and deliver smooth experiences for crypto
Clarisse is also a mentor with the Techstars Web3 Accelerator and is a graduate of the ABN AMRO + Techstars Future of Finance Accelerator class of 2021.
This fireside chat and interactive crowd Q&A with Clarisse and me will provide insights on:
The drivers behind why 'builders are still building' in web3 in the midst of the bear market
Getting the right balance of security and freedom when protecting your crypto assets
How the history of custody is informing how we decentralize trust so that we can 'trust the tech' rather than third parties

We’ve got more to come with the Techstars Web3 Community Series in January with chats with leaders from across the web3 space. We’ll announce our upcoming guests from our Techstars worldwide web3 community early next month, so follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn for updates.
