We are very excited to announce our second class of Techstars Physical Health in Fort Worth, Texas.
Building on a great first year with stellar founders and companies who have seen great growth since the end of the first cohort, our second class is definitely holding up the tradition of incredible founders and entrepreneurs who are addressing some outstanding problems and opportunities in the world of Physical Health.
Our program has grown significantly since our first year looking at more than 3500 companies from all over the world and receiving four times the number of applications that we received last year. This year we again welcome entrepreneurs from across the globe and our founders have traveled far and near to participate in this one-of-a-kind whole health focused program.
Fort Worth continues to be a great home for our accelerator and we have added many new healthcare organizations to work with our portfolio companies and we are excited to be the first tenant in the newly opened Fort Worth Entrepreneur Center called “Create Fort Worth”.
We continue to appreciate our key partnerships within Fort Worth with organizations including the UNT Health Science Center, The City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County, and John Goff’s family office through Goff Capital LP which creates a collaboration of public, private and educational institutions that gives these founders a unique opportunity to develop sound business models, built on science and supported by Fort Worth’s entire ecosystem.
All of these compelling pieces have come together to create a Texas-sized opportunity to showcase why we believe that Fort Worth is the center of the world for innovation and disruption in the field of Physical Health.
