By Nate Schmidt, Managing Director of the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech
Today I am thrilled to introduce the 2022 Techstars Alabama EnergyTech EnergyTech companies, the third class to go through our accelerator.
It seems like yesterday that we welcomed our inaugural class. Since then we’ve graduated 19 world-changing companies solving the big problems in energytech, cleantech, climate tech, and sustainability. We’ve watched these companies strive for product market fit, collectively hire 200+ people, and raise capital well into nine figures. Our new class has big shoes to fill, and our staff, corporate partners, and mentors are here to support them every step of the way.
This year I’ll be joined once again by my partner in crime, Brooke Gillis, who has been by my side since day one. Also joining on our Techstars team will be our Entrepreneur in Residence, Matt Jaeh, and associates Monroe Clayton and Ritchie Kruunenberg. Our corporate partner, Alabama Power, is also with us every day, working with our startups. This year the Alabama Power team working out of our Techstars office during the program are Kevin Kaye, Hypaesha Dunn, and Joy Yang. Finally, Alex Perkins will be capturing all the video highlights of our class for our Youtube Channel. If you’re looking for inspiration from our first two years, make sure to check it out!
Here are the companies that our staff and support system will be working hard to accelerate. We can’t wait to dig in with these amazing founders, and to watch them build on the success of our first two classes!
