We’re thrilled to announce that Michelle Tsing is joining the Launchpool Web3 Techstars Accelerator as a mentor.  Kicking off in March 2022 in Dublin, Ireland, the Launchpool Web3 Techstars.

Accelerator is working with entrepreneurs building blockchain technology and tokenisation protocols driving towards the decentralised future.

Michelle Tsing wears many hats as a lawyer, artist, entrepreneur, startup advisor, and self-described futurist.  Michelle is a mentor for the Berkeley Blockchain Xcelerator and for Singularity University Ventures, and hosts Laptop Radio, a weekly show, and podcast on the Stanford University Campus radio. She was previously a lawyer for PayPal, and also worked with Apple, Samsung, Cisco, and eBay.  Lately, she’s been spending some time on the governance of DAOs, or decentralized autonomous organisations.

On October 26th, we had a fireside chat on Crowdcast with Michelle as part of the Techstars Web3 Convo Series bringing the mind of the mentor to the masses so the global Web3 founder community can benefit from the insights of some of the leading minds in the Web3 space.  During this chat (also available as an episode of the MoneyNeverSleeps podcast), Michelle shared her insights on the importance of traction and community-building in Web3:

“I think the biggest competition for building traction is time. The earlier you start, the more people will know about your project.  You will build that community, especially with a Web3 company, because you need a community that drives value and creates that passion for your project.”

Thank you to Michelle for volunteering her time to take part in this program, and given the depth of her knowledge, network, and experience in the Web3 space, we know that she’s going to be incredibly helpful as a mentor to the founding teams that become part of the Launchpool Web3 Techstars Accelerator program.
