By Maria Flynn, Managing Director of Techstars Kansas City Accelerator
We are excited to announce the 2021 class of the Techstars Kansas City Accelerator. Leveraging the power of the Techstars network, each company in the program will expedite their growth over the course of the three month accelerator program and post program support.
Furthering Techstars’ mission of helping entrepreneurs succeed, the program will focus on mentoring, applying key learnings to each company’s specific needs, and investor readiness. The mentor network supports our founders and includes experienced entrepreneurs, investors, and business executives. The cohort will dive deep into their revenue formula, product roadmap, and financials to emerge as stronger companies having tested their hypothesis and assumptions in the program. We will dedicate considerable time into our communication of their businesses for investor readiness.
This year, we’re excited to welcome companies to our 2021 class from the Kansas City region as well as Baltimore, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Sante Fe. The companies represent the animal health, financial, education, environmental, healthcare, transportation and consumer marketplace industries, with a strong artificial intelligence theme running through the cohort. We are proud of the diverse backgrounds represented in the class, and four of our companies are led by women CEOs.
Ultimately, we’re thrilled to welcome a group of entrepreneurs with an eagerness to work on their businesses and an urgency to bring their products to market. Knowing the importance of peer support through my own company’s journey, I am most excited for these entrepreneurs to find support in each other as we work together to build incredible companies. Earmark these companies and watch for their compounded success.
